Gratitude is a culture that we must intentionally practice.
We don’t talk much about how important it is to be grateful for our bodies.
Showing Gratitude to our body in which we live, even if it is not perfect, even if it is tired, even if it has scars, even if it is unpredictable is a way of honoring, God, the Maker of Masterpieces.
For many women, it’s not easy to feel grateful for our body, particularly if we are dealing with health issues.
Perhaps your body has disappointed you.
Perhaps it has been through pain, endured surgeries, or experienced hormonal shifts, or has harbored dreams still to be fulfilled.
Being grateful is not denying that there is or was pain, but despite it, you make a choice to love your body.
You have been carried by your body each day of your life. It has healed numerous wounds, fought illnesses, adjusted to changes, and appeared when you were like giving up.
It should be treated better don’t you think?
We are reminded from scripture that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14).
But that truth does not vanish because of a diagnosis, a symptom or an unanswered prayer.
God’s love for you is never based on your body’s performance.
So instead of thinking about what the body can or cannot do, this week, let’s think about all the things the body can still do.
Gratitude for Your Body
- Thank you heart for beating.
- Praise you lungs for breathing.
- Thank you legs for carrying me.
- Bless you hands for serving me and others.
- Well-done my mind for staying open to learned and receive love
- Thank you body for all the things you still do despite the tough times.
If today all you can say is, “God, thank You for keeping me alive”, it is enough.
Imagine how confident and more beautiful you will feel if you will take a moment each morning to look into the mirror and say one thing you are grateful for about your body.
You deserve all the love so BLOOM!
